Diane Hughes, DMD
Diane Hughes DDS, earned her dental and orthodontic degrees from Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she was the recipient of numerous academic awards. Dr. Hughes operated her practice in Manhattan, where she treated patients of all ages with a variety of orthodontic needs. In addition to her practice, Dr. Hughes was a faculty member of the Orthodontic Department of New York University School of Dentistry and the Dental Department of New York Presbyterian Hospital and Albert Einstein Yeshiva University. While in New York, she was chosen to represent the American Association of Orthodontists, appearing on the Today Show and CNN news. In 2007 she relocated to NM to practice here in Rio Rancho. She has been improving New Mexico smiles ever since! Dr. Hughes and her son, Gregory, enjoy skiing and scuba diving together. Dr. Hughes enjoys sitting in her backyard, drinking her coffee, in the early mornings with her two dogs; She is an avid dog lover and rescuer! For many years Dr. Hughes has worked with several dog rescue groups, and she is currently working with A Barking Chance Rescue Group. From time to time, you will see one of Dr. Hughes' foster dogs in the office. What better place for a lucky pup to meet their ‘fur’ever family!
Helen D. Bush, DMD, MDS
Helen D. Bush, D.M.D., M.D.S., is originally from Pittsburgh, PA where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree, graduating Summa Cum Laude, in the field of Health Related Professions. She earned her D.M.D. dental degree from the University of Pittsburgh as Valedictorian. After dental school, she completed 3 years of specialty training in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics also at the University of Pittsburgh, earning a Master of Science degree. Dr. Bush has worked on the Navajo Reservation in New Mexico with a non-profit organization serving the Navajo people for several years. As a member of the American Association of Orthodontists and the American Dental Association, she stays current with the latest developments in technology in orthodontics through continuing education courses.
Dr. Bush enjoys spending time with her husband Stew and their two pet cockatoos.
